El Malecon, Havana

4.4
Take a long walk along El Malecon to appreciate the cultural quirks of everyday life in Cuba's capital city. Spanning 8 km (5 mi) and connecting the city center with the harbor, the esplanade supports countless cafes, bars, and restaurants, which brim with energy day and night. Observe citizens going about their daily business, from fishermen and street vendors to businesspeople. As you walk, keep an eye out for surging waves, which can sometimes break across the shorefront barriers and leave people soaked. • Fantastic ride where it joins local people to fish, walk at the end of the day and tourists to enjoy the magnificent view, are several km, it seems that never ends, where we can be out walking and seeing the city and relax with the smell of the sea

  • It's a construction site along the shore of Havana, are many kilometers. The force of the sea, the wind hitting are delicious. We went for a walk and met a Cuban, who asked us to help and commented on the Brazilian soap operas. In fact they love our novels, I was out of date, I suggest watching a few to complement the chat!

  • Cuban friends brought us on Havana's main attraction-the Malecon. It is impossible to imagine Cuban cities without their magnificent promenades, which here is called the Malecon. The Malecon is the most popular, and accordingly the most filled Havana Street. This promenade stretches to 7 km, and is the main venue for traditional Cuban Carnival. And when there is no such holidays, malekonu, you can just quietly hanging out, enjoying the surrounding views. Malecon-connects parts of Vedado and Miramar from Old Havana. To date, this is the favorite place of rest of the evening not only tourists, but also to Cubans themselves. The Boulevard is considered one of the main monuments of old Havana.

  • This is a fantastic spot for sunsets especially on the weekend when you have a lot of families and groups mingling and singing ..
  • I love this place. The sunsets are amazing, and the vibe to just being at the Malecón is magical.
  • Magical. It's like going back in time.
  • Stretch of land alonside the sea (or ocean, IN not sure what is there). Looks romantic at evening sunset, feels less romantic when you hear for the 7th time a blatant proposal of sex or viagra "cheaper tan in the west" or cigarrs "cheaper than in the center".
  • The place to be.
