For a sobering reminder of the horrors of nuclear warfare, visit Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum. One of the museum's two wings details the history of Hiroshima, the development of and decision to use the bomb, and the following discussions surrounding nuclear warfare and disarmament. The other wing goes into detail about the devastating damage and longer-term effects of the bomb. Don't miss the A-Bomb dome on site, one of the few buildings in the area that has been left in the same condition since the day of the bombing. • ○ senior citizen discount: high-handed attitude, drab and parents presents certificates to more than 80!. Does understand the rules a bit more politeness even good. And unfortunately seen mostly with chura (there was fortunately late senior citizen health insurance) ○ construction = should be free during this time now!

  • Come once when I was in elementary school, but that after many decades the visited again. Is now seen in Quake-resistant, but even provisional Museum speaks to 8/6 using the latest technology. Stand out for the Gaijin article has been in the hobby was taken, I was not. Tricycle rusted in the exhibit is the description read and filled with tears, laugh filled with my son and daughter. I hope again I repeat 2 times.

  • A sobering experience, certainly worth a stop and the 200¥ admission fee if you’re in Hiroshima. The main, central hall is currently undergoing renovations, and I suspect that some of the exhibits have been shoe-horned into the smaller, eastern hall as a result. Although the material presented is very powerful, the manner in which it is presented could use some improvement - the majority of exhibits consists of texts on walls that becomes hard to read when you’re jostling between thousands of other visitors. Note as well that taking photos is not allowed - though I’m not sure why you’d want to take pictures of static exhibits anyways. My advice: go later in the afternoon (the museum closes at 6 pm) for a somewhat less-crowded experience, and then contemplate what was done to this city as you watch the sunset in the peace park. The A-bomb done casts an eerily beautiful reflection in the water.
  • I'm a big history buff so this place was a must visit. It's one of the places that changed world history, so you must pay respects and see for yourself. I liked it a lot but they were doing construction during this time. Hopefully it'll be done later on.
  • You're taken back into the painful history of the Hiroshima nuclear bombing. If you visited the Hiroshima memorial outside, then this museum is a must go. In order to comprehend and complete the contexts of the memorial that you saw outside. The museum is well organized and you'll come off as it was worth it. Due to the artifacts collected from the victims and the history of the bomb. Handicap friendly and children, Yes.
  • The museum is very informative and well maintained. Entrance fee is cheap too. Giving it four star because it felt a little depressing being around the place. But still a must visit for everyone at least once in their life.
  • Hard to write this post, how can you judge the experience with stars. I mean it such a important place to visit, every human being who has a chance to be in Japan just make an effort to be here. If anything else to be able to understand the horrors of human conflict expressed via weapons of mass distruction. Very emotional but I emphasize that it's our responsibility to visit.
