  • High up in the hill overlooking Kurashiki, this Shrine is beautiful and quiet. We went in the evening near sunset. Explore the garden path going up or down the hill. A long staircase also can be used....  more »
  • Two scores for me. Beautiful woodwork architecture of light wood as opposed to the dark wood prevalent in those era. Gives it a modernist feel despite its age. Exceptionally well maintained and beautifully preserved. Secondly, it’s location on a small hilltop presents spectacular views of the city below. Being right next to the Tsurugatayama-koen garden also imparts it with an elevated sense of calmness and serenity.
