  • The main aquarium pool might be among the world's largest and the sight of huge whale sharks and stingrays at close quarters is overwhelming. In addition there are countless smaller displays which by ...  more »
  • If you had seen even if Sea Aquarium Whale sharks, but this went well Okinawa views programmes. He got used to take a photo to understand that everyone wants to go after visit to Okinawa was splashing I taking pictures I do not dive while dived into the sea two hours if we had boasted that It seems at the very least wanted to enjoy a half-day but didn't stay long, the show because it was a short period of time, a lot of fun.

  • Went on Wednesday, a famous tourist spot, is full of people. And what a holiday so many Chinese-speaking tourists more than the Japanese felt. Aquarium beauty hears Chinese everywhere (lol) is from the 4th floor area round! and style comes down to the first floor around the whale shark in main tank are the last side. Just like sitting here on the bench there, so can stay and watch. It is possible, of course, look at the water front!, personal thoughts, as seen on TV and magazines, thought tank is not large! I did. Depth, but the width used. But the elegant swimming whale shark that was impressive. I think I will go once it seems. Use slow time around other than just the Ocean Expo Park so, other buildings, plan is good. From the parking lot at Churaumi Aquarium takes about 10 minutes on foot. Churaumi Aquarium from okichan theater is about 10 minutes ' walk away. Aquarium restaurant is crowded. I had 1 store can eat snacks in the Park and can take place.

  • World class aquarium in a modern layout. The whale sharks are a must see. A large restaurant and a variety of small eateries are available on site along with many clean bathrooms. Very good access for handicap. The place is spread out over several acres so be prepared to do a lot of walking. There is a small shuttle service that we took advantage of. Be prepared to deal with large crowds. Despite the long drive to reach this place (past Nago) you won't be disappointed. I highly recommend a visit.
  • Beautifully arranged aquarium. Really big! With two whale sharks and much more. Children would love it! Educative on the ocean surrounding Okinawa.
  • I believe as of right now it is the 3rd largest aquarium in the world but it is an awesome aquarium! The main tank is absolutely marvelous! The highlight is definitely the beautiful whale sharks, a must see. A perfect place to take your kids. It is always super busy. The best time to go would definitely be right when they open, it takes about 3-4 hours to look at the aquarium. There is also a dolphin show, i believe it is shown every hour. The location of the Aquarium is probably the best part. If you get there early you can walk around the expo park. I would recommend taking snacks and maybe lunch because the cafe and other food areas will get busy!
  • If you like aquariums this is a great one. The fish were plentiful and very active(later in the day, not so much in the early morning) and the whale sharks are wonderful. The other great thing is the grounds that it's in. There is so much to do it makes for a great couple of days.
  • Wow! Best aquarium we've ever been to! Very clean, well appointed, such a wide variety of aquatic life, and so much to do in the entire park! The aquarium gets all of the attention, but make sure to check out the Dolphin Show and also go feed the baby goats in the Native Okinawan Village section of the park.

Where to stay in Motobu-cho

Most visitors to Motobu-cho opt to spend their time by the sea, so accommodations have positioned themselves accordingly. Choose from a number of beachfront hotels, resorts, and guesthouses located close to the aquarium and botanical garden, and on Sesoko Island. By the harbor in the main urban area, a few homestays and guesthouses dot the largely residential part of town. As a general rule, urban areas farther inland offer more budget-friendly rooms, whereas lodgings in non-urban areas farther inland tend to be pricier retreats making the most of the scenery and seclusion.
