Akame Shijuhachi Waterfall, Nabari

#1 of 16 in Things to do in Nabari
Waterfall · Nature / Park
Hike through an unspoiled forest environment at Akame Shijuhachi Waterfall, a series of falls that cascade down this Nabari River tributary, while your trail traces its course for about 4.2 km (2.6 mi). The surrounding area was selected as one of the 100 best forests in the country, and walking here you'll find a quiet, peaceful place. The soothing sounds of the falls, some of which reach up to 30 m (98 ft) in height, accompanying your every step. You can manage a round trip within three or four hours, but consider an early start as the dense wood hinders natural light somewhat. Take some water and a snack on your hike, and bring your camera to catch images of the natural site. Make Akame Shijuhachi Waterfall part of your personalized Nabari itinerary using our Nabari journey builder app.

  • We had a great time hiking and seeing the 48 waterfalls. Akame is a really cool little village with friendly people, good food, and eat souvenirs. Check out the Ninja Camp.  more »
