Must see · Historic Walking Area · Landmark
Glimpse Japan as it was some two centuries ago at Naraijuku, one of the 69 stations along an Edo-period route. Due to its position along the historical road, the vast number of visitors helped the post town flourish. Today, it enjoys protection as a Nationally Designated Architectural Preservation Site. Soak in the landscape of well-preserved buildings and sites of the Edo period surrounded by large cypress and cedar trees. Don't miss browsing through the shops selling highly intricate woodwork. • should have spent an overnight here.. enchanting, lovely peaceful place or maybe because I visited the place during off-season 😍
  • Very quiet street and almost without any soul when we visited during late Nov. We had d whole street to ourselves 😅 Beautiful traditional architecture for some of the houses.
