  • Today I went to spend the last few minutes of the afternoon to this place and I must say that the food and drinks are delicious. Ideal to enjoy the sunset at the edge of the sea.

  • I stopped here around 8pm on my way back from town. The place was empty ! There were about 8 employees standing around, and not one of them attempted to interact with me. Strange experience. I sat at ...  more »
  • All I wanted was simple fish tacos, a safe bet in the area. This restaurant managed to mess it up with dry fish and lettuce, that was it. Fortunately they served a decent guacamole that made the tacos...  more »

  • (Updated 2017: Check out videos of our entire experience December 2017 on YouTube, just search 'Stanley Orchard.') Great getaway from the center of the city without having to find some hidden oasis. Money Bar offers great food and drinks as you experience one of the great snorkeling spots on the island. Its a little pricey ($4 beer, $8 drinks) and the exchange rate between pesos and dollars is far lower here than the actual exchange rate. Rate at this time is over $20 pesos per dollar, they gave us $16. That's our only 'complaint,' because everything else is very nice (beach, easy entrance for snorkeling and swimming, massages etc). Even prices aren't terrible and are worth it; we come here every year.
  • Relaxed laid back atmosphere. Better than average snorkeling in 10 to 30 feet of water - a lot of the tour operators stop just off shore. Coral is sparse but abundant with a couple of man made structures. Bar was good. Restaurant was OK - I personally wouldn't have the burger again (pre-made patty of questionable quality) but my wife's fish was good and definitely worth another try. Nachos looked really good. Close to the cruise ship pier so pretty easy if you are in port for a few hours. Overall a solid 4 stars.
  • We had such a wonderful day at The Money Bar yesterday! Jesus and Roberto were attentive without being intrusive and made us feel welcome to stay as long as we like without pushing us to order more. We each got a drink and sat for a bit on the deck before moving to lounge chairs in the sand. We ordered a bucket of beer which was refreshed with ice several times as we relaxed and snorkeled. After a couple hours we ordered lunch (sandwich and a salad) it was just what we needed on a hot day. Prices were great and food and drinks were tasty! We had gone to a different beach club the day before and were intruded on as we were trying to relax with our beverages and told we needed to order more from the restaurant or go. We had intended to spend time there and purchase more (we are adults relaxing, not college kids chugging booze) but after that rude interaction we just left. It was refreshing and welcoming to have such great, attentive, not pushy service at the Money Bar. We would recommend it to any tourist who wants a relaxing waterfront day! Thank you Money Bar!
  • Beautiful beach side location. Protected swimming area. Affiliated with Landmark resort. Food/drinks/live music. Very reasonable food prices.

Where to stay in Cozumel

Most accommodations in Cozumel line the island's western shoreline, offering excellent beach access and the airport. Avenida Rafael E. Melgar provides the widest range of hotels and private rentals, with some of the more spacious and relaxed options sitting around 10 km (6.2 mi) south of the town center. Budget-conscious travelers should look to the main township, where a selection of smaller guesthouses and pensions can be found just a few streets back from the beach.
