  • It is real oaxacan street food but they charge it as if it is served in a real restaurant, the same dishes with the same taste can be found in any street stall in town at half the price. Nothing to...

  • Great market to wander around to get a feel the culture and city. In the center there are a large number of stalls to get various types of cuisine. Should try the Tlayupas or Capulinos here.

  • The Mercado 20 de Noviembre was one of Oaxaca's large markets (in addition to the Benito Juarez Market). It was situated inside a big building close to the Benito Juarez Market. The market was a maze of narrow aisles lined with small stalls selling a variety of colourful handicrafts, jewelry, bags, shoes, fresh produce, flowers, spices, and more. There were also food vendors serving inexpensive and authentic Mexican foods. There were vendors on the streets surrounding the market selling produce and handmade crafts as well. It was a busy and overwhelming place and the market was packed with people. It was an interesting local market to explore and wander around to get experience the local life and culture. Visited in November 2017.
  • Exciting market with many different small kitchens with many locals eating their lunch. We had a really nice molé and bought the chilies for making it ourselves later on. January 2019
