Los Muertos Beach, Puerto Vallarta

#1 of 14 in Parks in Puerto Vallarta
Beach · Hidden Gem · Nature / Park
Step onto the remote and otherworldly Los Muertos Beach, whose name translates as "Beach of the Dead." Bordered by martian-esque hills, and with a coarse mosaic of sand, the beach's bizarre rock formations contrast sharply against the blue, wavy sea in the background. Secluded and unspoiled, the beach sits at the bottom of a fairly steep and rugged path leading down from the parking lot. Don’t forget to bring plenty of water, sunscreen, and your own shade if required, as well as your camera to capture images of the desolate-looking paradise. Make Los Muertos Beach a part of your Puerto Vallarta vacation plans using our Puerto Vallarta day trip site.

  • I liked very much that the beach is public, in some places do not let you pass, but here there is no problem at all that.
  • Beautiful, the beaches in Pueto Vallarta are beautiful, you always have to marvel at places like this.
