#4 of 13 in Historic Sites in Fes
Historic Site · Hidden Gem · Tourist Spot
Learn about the way the Jewish people lived hundreds of years ago at Fez Mellah. With several synagogues in the area, the walled Jewish district served a purpose similar to a European ghetto. Visit the district's cemetery to pay your respects to many generations of Moroccan Jews, and take a part of the culture back home by stopping at the local shops and picking up a few traditional products made in the area.
