Trip Planner: Africa / Morocco / Marrakech-Tensift-El Haouz Region / Marrakech / Menara Gardens and Pavilion
Take in the relaxing atmosphere of Menara Gardens and Pavilion, a set of botanical gardens offering locals and tourists a break from the lively activity and noise of the city. Originally created in the 12th century, the gardens wrap around a central artificial lake, which supplies water to irrigate the surrounding orchards and groves. A 19th-century pavilion stands on the shore, against the backdrop of the Atlas mountains. Stroll around the lake, taking in the pavilion from a number of angles, and explore the gardens of palms, fruit, and olive trees. Menara Gardens and Pavilion Reviews
I would not say this is a must see but it is a beautiful garden with a lovely walk around a large pool containing some fish. A pleasant hour or so was spent here more »
Hier gibt es nichts, was interessant wäre. Ein langer gepflasterter Weg zu einem Wasserbassin, in dem nur braune Brühe ist. Am Wegesrand weite Olivenhaine, aber wirklich ein Garten ist es nicht. more »There is nothing interesting here. A long paved path to a water basin where only brown broth is. At the edge of the road wide olive groves, but really a garden it is not.
A pretty typical garden space for Marrakech. There is a large paved walking area where you will find many vendors. The best part of this location is the sunrise view around the man-made pond area. The water is not clean, but the view and photo opportunities over it are very nice.
A nice location for pretty views and a chill vibe. The Atlas Mountain view was beautiful. 70 DH not worth seeing pavilion. Camel rides near the entrance were fun.
