  • Do not go here! They abuse the elephants, I saw it first hand. One mahout hit a baby elephant on its skull TWICE with the blunt end of a hand axe. See picture. The baby shouted out in pain the second....  more »

  • The Elephants are chained for their own safety apparently?? While we were there a couple of young guys where hitting a calf that was supposed to be being trained but think it could possibly be managed in a better way and there didn't seem to be any reason or lesson being trained.that all said and done I know nothing about elephant training,it just seemed harsh
  • By the time I had come out of this place, I was totally demoralized and affected by the way the elephants were chained with their babies close by, the mothers' feet were chained thought. I am sure the centre has a praisworthy purpose however I am not convinced that the elephants have to be treated in this manner for the purpose to be delivered. Many of the elephants where swinging their heads from left to right in a constant rhythm indicating that they are really distressed, possibly even mentally imbalanced. I hope the centre can learn from some of these comments and change the way they treat these distressed elephants. They are beautiful creatures and should be treated with the respect that they deserve.
