Flamenco Beach, Culebra

4.8
Soft sand, clear water, and plenty of amenities make Flamenco Beach one of the most pleasant coastal spots on the island of Culebra. In an area known for outstanding swimming, diving, and sport fishing opportunities, this pristine beach sits within a sheltered, horseshoe-shaped bay. Get away from it all by picking a remote spot at either edge of the beach, or stretch out near one of the food kiosks for a chance to relax, soak up some sun, and munch on tasty local food. Nearby operators provide access to restrooms, showers, and equipment rentals. See Flamenco Beach and all Culebra has to offer by arranging your trip with our Culebra online journey planner .

  • The most beautiful beach anywhere. Not sure what it looks like since the hurricanes but we're going back. If there is help still needed we will help as I expect to come back here for years and hope to...  more »
  • When I heard this this beach was ranked as one of the top 5 beaches in the world, I was ecstatic to go! But, it’s hard to get to the beach, the road is not suitable unless you have a 4 wheel drive veh...  more »
  • Beautiful! Clean. Clear waters and white sands. Waves can be strong depending on the time of year but there is an area where waves break and the area is lagoon like.  more »

  • Amazingly beautiful beach. Crystal clear water and white sand to go with it. This is a highly recommend place. I came here with my wife and some friends on a boat tour. This is definitely one if the best beaches I've been too. I would want to come back here but next time I need to stay a few days and tour this island better.
  • Beautiful beach. One of the best beaches ive ever seen. Crystal clear turqoise blue water and white sand beach. Paradise. WW2 tank ruins on the beach add to the attraction. You can spend your time snorkelling or just relax on the beach. Lovely cocktails available on the beach shack.
  • We took the 9am ferry From Fajardo. $5/round trip, about an hour ride. You can take coolers, beach chairs, etc... on the ferry but you’ll have to tote everything with you around the island. USE THE BATHROOM ON THE FERRY. There are hardly any public bathrooms on Culebera. Once you arrive at Culebra Iand you’ll have some options for food and transportation right at the dock. You can rent a Jeep or gold cart during your time there or you can taxi. If you want to explore the island thoroughly you should rent the jeep! We had 3 small children and just wanted to spend time at Flamenco so we took the taxi. $5/person gets you to the 2nd most beautiful beach on the world according to Discover Channel. My family and I had the most amazing time at Flamenco. The sand is extremely clean, no rocks or ant seaweed at all. The waves come crashing in but are tamed enough for a non-swimmer like myself to have some fun! There are beach chairs and umbrellas available for rent. We just laid in the sand and soaked up the sun. It’s a public beach but there aren’t any bathrooms!
  • Ranked among top 30 best secret islands in the world, home of Flamenco Beach, Bahía Linda and Culebrita Island, one of the world's best beaches by @travelandleisure
  • The most beautiful beach I've ever seen! So secluded and relaxing. If you're in Puerto Rico this is a must! Get to the ferry terminal early because it sells out quick!
