Mosquito Pier, Isla de Vieques

From the end of Mosquito Pier look back to stunning views of Viques and the Puerto Rican mainland. Built in 1941, the pier stretches out a mile off the coast, with deep tan, golden sand beaches and vibrant blue waters flanking each side. Snorkel with sea turtles, who often appear in the waters underneath and around the pier.   • The first time we visited and snorkeled, the weather was perfect and the pier was our favorite site. This last time, the water was pretty cloudy. We got the pier, but it was difficult to snorkel...  more »

  • This mile long pier used to be home to Navy warships. Now used as place to fish and snorkel and catch the breeze. Stupendous views of the PR mountains.
  • Don’t miss.....it was a little cloudy during the day we went here but was able to see the best snorkeling right here. Beds of Sea urchins,lots Tropical fish - crystal clear water.
