  • This was one of the stops on an East Caribbean cruise. It was one of the (if not "the") best. A historical peninsula with a great view. Castles, churches (one of the most amazing Basilica I've ever seen), amazing coastline. We had a very good guide who was very knowledgeable and was happy to answer all questions. I must admit visit involved a great deal of (not too strenuous) walking but very well worth the effort.
  • This was a lot of fun. I'm into historical structures and stories so I loved it. Could've spend easily six hours here if we had that much time. Great place to capture a lot of neat an beautiful pictures of the fortress, city, and ocean. There are a lot of spots with pictures and descriptions explaining different parts of the fortress so you can easily wonder on your own.
  • Probably one of the most scenic and Amazing places I've been. So much history, and stories that you can learn in regards to Spain's trade routes. Also the food is quite remarkable around the fort. Very affordable, the island is definitely one that people forget about but shouldn't.
  • Walk Into 500 Years of History San Juan National Historic Site preserves stories of great ambition and aspirations. Countries fought for control of this tiny yet strategic island for centuries. Generations of soldiers have lived and worked within the forts. Visitors today are as inspired by these stories as they are by the beauty of the architecture and the ingenuity of design and engineering of this World Heritage Site.
  • We really enjoyed visiting here. This was shortly after Hurricane Irma made her ugly appearance. We wanted to go especially to make sure they were recovering well after the storm. Had planned to go assist if they needed us and inquired about it but seems they were all booked up with volunteers! We love you Puerto Rico!
