Graskop glass elevator a first for Africa

A 51-metre glass elevator that will transport visitors to the bottom of the Graskop Gorge will open later this year.

The Graskop Gorge Adventure Centre will offer shops, dining and – at the bottom of the ravine – an elevated forest walkway complete with suspension bridges over the river.

    Before entering check the prices. If you are going to go in, pay the extra money and do the 600m walk at the bottom of the lift. The walk is interesting if you take the time to read the signage and...  more »

    Scenic views with zipline and big wheel for the daring visitors. Good restuarant with divine foods and alcohol. Lots of gift shops with the african theme.  more »

    I'm running short of words to describe this place, amazing doesn't cut it. Breathtaking views at the bottom of the lift with spots for beautiful pictures. Whether you go down the lift which cost R170 pp (Excluding R20 entrance) or not, you are guaranteed spectacular views over the gorge.

    Well designed lift and and a beautiful waterfall. The forest walk is bit of a biology class experience as very little could be seen and you more there for the walk. For R190 to get to see that is a bit expensive. View from the top is really good.
