Blueberries were first cultivated on the farm in 1995 and are grown to strict organic standards. This means that no industrial fertilisers are used and the farm makes use of natural composting and vermiculture techniques to ensure the blueberry bushes get all the goodness they need to produce amazing fruit.
We are an organically certified producer (through Ecocert) of export quality fresh and frozen blueberries which means all our farm activities are audited regularly to maintain the highest possible organic standard.
Blueberries are a superfood very high in antioxidants and proven to have numerous health benefits. They have been shown to have cancer fighting properties, strengthen blood vessels, enhance eyesight, improve memory and have a positive effect on brain and nerve functions.
Not only are blueberries healthy but they are also an incredibly versatile ingredient that can add a touch of elegance to a variety of meals. They work very well in desserts, baking, salads, sauces and are great when paired with meats such as steak, pork and venison.

I enjoyed the Berry Festival and some of my highlights were the amazing running course which had spectacular views and the mist on the morning added a danger factor to the course and that just gave me an adrenaline rush, I absolutely loved it. At the farm I got to pick berries for the first time ever and I loved the whole experience. The food served was absolutely delicious, especially the ribs!! The live band added to the ambience. It was definitely a lovely day, I'm definitely attending the next berry festival in 2020. Hopefully, there will be more physical activities.

During the Betty Festival in Feb you can pick your own blueberries. And indulge in fresh blueberry pie. Beautiful scenery and well worth a visit
