Would suggest during busy times to pre book for the park. They have a day visitors quota. Our 1st day we had no problems, second day park was full. The park is very lush full of water and the... more »

Long queues in the heat, you MUST book in advance as due to COVID there are daily quotas and only a limited number of cars may enter. more »

My favourite Kruger Park entry point! The roads are great, Malelane has all the supplies you nerd to stock up for your Kruger adventure. Gate staff are always welcoming and helpful.

Terrible experience on the 9th of Feb around 3.30pm. On exit we had alcohol in the vehicle. Our choices were, pay the bribe to the 2 guards on duty , call the ranger and we get a fine , but they did tell us , this could take hours depending on where the ranger was . Throw out all the alcohol before exit . Wonder why they let us in without checking what was in the cooler. Anyway these guys will be encouraging people to litter the park, as people with throw out their evidence before getting to the gate !. After a long day in the park, nobody wants to wait indefinitely at a gate for a ranger. Please be aware of this if u are a day visitor to the park . They hold onto your driver's license while negotiating the bribe and telling u the rules of driving in SA, wish they knew the rules of being decent reputable guards.
