With Horseback Africa, saddle up and venture on a horse-riding safari coupled with a chance to walk with wild lions. At the end of the day, gather around a camp fire and share your adventure stories with other tour participants. The well-trained horses are suitable even for first-time riders, which makes this activity ideal for young nature lovers with little or no experience around trained animals. This was the most amazing thing I’ve ever done. I was a first time rider and they made me feel so at ease on the horse. They were welcoming, nice, and super friendly. After an amazing tour on horseback (about 2ish hours) we had a great lunch of pizza. Then we had about an hour to relax and then we started our lion tour. This was hands down the best thing I’ve ever done. We got to watch them feed their adult lions and then we got the chance to walk with some youngsters. We learned all about them and the conservation efforts they put in. The youngsters will eventually be relased back into the wild once they’re old enough. And then at the end we got to meet and cuddle a little cub, who was absolutly the cutest thing ever. They also rescue and raise Serval cats/kittens. But dont have any on property except 2 little ones in a nursery. All in all, this place is a MUST DO on your list of things in South Africa!

The best part of our 2 week holiday and a experience that will stay with us forever We spent 2 nights and were made to feel so welcome by both the owners and staff at this beautiful place The Room we stayed in wasn’t Luxury but big and clean . The food was very good and plentiful and to walk and play with the Lion Cubs was such a great experience I would advise anyone to Visit Horseback Africa and not only see what a beautiful place this is but also to see what these wonderful owners are doing to make sure that these beautiful animals are around for ever
