The Horseshoe Falls of South Africa are waterfalls that are located 4 km off the Old Lydenburg Road along the Sabie River in Mpumalanga. These unusual falls, although not very high, are horseshoe shaped and have been declared a national monument. While doing a short walk through the beautiful landscape that leads to the cascade-type falls, the opportunity to spot magnificent birdlife and other wildlife is not uncommon. Horseshoe Falls is also a popular venue for trout fishing. We always have fun trout fishing. The facilities are clean and the staff are really nice. We caught fish with both bait and flies. They cleaned vacuum packed our fish. Try the trout recipe on the wall, we ate it the same night and it was devine.

Slightly difficult to reach here as its on unpaved road and on a private property. The is R20 entry fee per adult and R10 for kids which also is a parking fee. Fall is good but not really unique... the are other better waterfalls in the are which are easy to drive to
