Founded when gold was discovered in the area in the late 19th century, Johannesburg quickly grew into a bustling metropolis, South Africa's largest city and the region's economic hub.
Start off your visit on the 5th (Fri): take in the exciting artwork at I was shot in Joburg, then steep yourself in history at Constitution Hill Human Rights Precinct, then examine the collection at Apartheid Museum, and finally browse the different shops at Jack Friedman Eastgate. Keep things going the next day: try your luck at Emperors Palace and then visit Maboneng Precinct.

Located just 140 km (90 mi) from Cuba, Key West is an island only about 6.4 km (4 mi) long and 1.6 km (1 mi) wide.
