Set in the heart of one of the United States' most esteemed wine-producing regions, just 45 minutes from San Francisco, Sonoma boasts colonial Mexican architecture, including a mission.
Appreciate the collections at di Rosa Center for Contemporary Art and Ma(i)sonry Napa Valley. We've included these beaches for you: Fitzgerald J V Marine Reserve and Doran Beach. Venture out of the city with trips to Ukiah (The City of Ten Thousand Buddhas & Grace Hudson Museum), Gualala Point Regional Park (in Gualala) and Honig Vineyard & Winery (in Rutherford). There's lots more to do: do a tasting at Stephen & Walker Winery, see the interesting displays at Sharpsteen Museum, take in the exciting artwork at Patrick Amiot, and kick back and relax at Limantour Beach.

In September, daily temperatures in Sonoma can reach 81°F, while at night they dip to 52°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 24th (Sun) to allow enough time to travel back home.
