The center of East Slavic culture, Kiev boasts centuries of eclectic art, architecture, and history.
You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Mikhail Bulgakov Museum and Mariinsky Park. Though most famous for the Potemkin Steps leading down the Black Sea coast, Odessa welcomes visitors with several other attractions, including beaches and an ornate opera house.
Start off your visit on the 22nd (Wed): examine the collection at Secrets of Underground Odessa Museum, don't miss a visit to Teatralnaya Square, then make a trip to Deribasovskaya Street, and finally examine the collection at Insomnia- The Haunted House. On the 23rd (Thu), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: Head underground at Catacombs of Odessa, examine the collection at Shustov Cognac Winery Museum, see the interesting displays at Museum of Interesting Science, test your problem-solving skills at popular escape rooms, then make a trip to Potemkin Stairs, and finally appreciate the history behind Statue of the Duc de Richelieu.

Traveling by flight from Kiev to Odessa takes 3 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of shuttle and flight; or drive. When traveling from Kiev in January, plan for a bit warmer days in Odessa, with highs around 35°F, while nights are about the same with lows around 24°F. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 23rd (Thu) so you can catch the train to Vinnytsia.
