For sixty years until 2003, most of the Isla de Vieques was closed off to the public, with the US Navy using the island's beaches and surrounding waters for drills and testing of new military machinery, such as bombs.
Popular historic sites such as Puerto Ferro Lighthouse and Isabel Segunda are in your itinerary. Satisfy your inner culture vulture at Fortin Conde de Mirasol Museum and Siddhia Hutchinson Fine Art Gallery. There's much more to do: enjoy the sand and surf at Caracas Beach, take in the waterfront at Mosquito Pier, stroll through Blue Beach, and paddle through the water with a kayaking and canoeing tour.

A seaside playground in the Caribbean, Rincon was a small agricultural and fishing town until it hosted the 1968 World Surfing Championship.
Museum-lovers will get to explore El Faro Lighthouse and Casa Dona Bisa and Museo Historia San Sebastian. Satisfy your inner culture vulture at Playa Oeste Gallery and The Old Aguadilla Lighthouse Ruins. When in Rincon, make a side trip to see Tunel de Guajataca in Quebradillas, approximately 54 minutes away. There's much more to do: enjoy the sea views from Punta Higuera Light House, relax and rejuvenate at some of the top local wellness centers, and take a pleasant ride with a tour on horseback.

Ponce is both a city and a municipality in the southern part of Puerto Rico. On the 24th (Fri), admire the landmark architecture of Cathedral of our Lady of Guadeloupe, then contemplate the long history of Casa Wiechers-Villaronga, then enjoy the sea views from Cardona Island Light, and finally appreciate the extensive heritage of La Guancha.
