A beautiful and romantic city fit for any itinerary, Paris brims with historic associations and remains vastly influential in the realms of culture, art, fashion, food and design.
Appreciate the collections at Musée d'Orsay and Chateau de Fontainebleau. For shopping fun, head to Champs-Elysees or Le Marais. Step out of Paris to go to Versailles and see Palace of Versailles, which is approximately 44 minutes away. There's much more to do: admire the striking features of Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Paris, stroll the grounds of The Catacombs, get to know the fascinating history of Île de la Cité, and see the interesting displays at Musée Rodin.

Traveling by train from Amsterdam to Paris takes 3.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of flight and train; or drive. When traveling from Amsterdam in July, plan for a bit warmer days in Paris, with highs around 29°C, while nights are about the same with lows around 17°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 23rd (Sun) so you can travel back home.
