Fira, the busy capital of Santorini, sits on the very edge of a volcanic caldera.
You'll explore and learn at Wine Museum Koutsogiannopoulos and Museum of Prehistoric Thera. Visit Eros Beach and Perissa Black Sand Beach for some beach relaxation. Change things up with a short trip to Tomato Industrial Museum in Vlychada (about 38 minutes away). There's lots more to do: learn about winemaking at Venetsanos Winery, get a dose of the wild on a nature and wildlife tour, stroll through Hiking Trail Fira - Oia, and get a taste of the local shopping with Ernesto Workshop & Gallery.

Get outdoors at Maragas Beach and Kastraki Beach. Visit Alyko Dimou Naxou and Agios Prokopios Beach for some beach relaxation. The adventure continues: explore the ancient world of Portara, examine the collection at Eggares Olive Press Museum, pause for some serene contemplation at Roman Catholic Cathedral, and kick back and relax at Aeolis Aghios Georgios Beach.

Visit Chrisis Aktis Beach and Martselo beach for some beach relaxation. Step off the beaten path and head to Santa Maria Beach and Panayia Ekatondapiliani Cathedral. Manousakis Winery and Maritime Museum of Crete are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Kastro Gramvoussas and Ancient Aptera will appeal to history buffs. When in Chania Town, make a side trip to see Balos Beach and Lagoon in Kissamos, approximately 1h 20 min away.
