Though its cuisine has spread throughout the country and beyond, Udupi retains a small-town charm.
On the 6th (Wed), take some stellar pictures from End Point, admire the landmark architecture of Venugopal Temple, then take in the spiritual surroundings of Sri Krishna Temple, and finally enjoy the sand and surf at Kapu Beach. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: enjoy the sand and surf at Malpe Beach, then kick back and relax at St. Mary's Island, and then contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Anegudde Ganapathi Temple.

For where to stay, other places to visit, traveler tips, and more tourist information, go to the Udupi holiday maker website.

Mangalore to Udupi is an approximately 1.5-hour car ride. You can also take a train. Expect a daytime high around 39°C in February, and nighttime lows around 26°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 7th (Thu) so you can travel to Mantralayam.
