A seaside playground in the Caribbean, Rincon was a small agricultural and fishing town until it hosted the 1968 World Surfing Championship.
Visiting Playa Crashboat and Survival Beach will get you outdoors. Get a sense of the local culture at Faro de Punta Higuera and Museo de Arte de Aguadilla y del Caribe. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Rincon: Bosque Estatal De Guajataca (in Isabela) and The Old Aguadilla Lighthouse Ruins (in Aguadilla). There's still lots to do: look for gifts at Rincon Art Walk, see the interesting displays at Museo del Mundillo, kick back and relax at Steps Beach, and stroll through Playa Rompe Olas.

Founded by the Spanish in 1521, San Juan is the oldest city under U.S. jurisdiction and one of the oldest in the Americas.
You'll enjoy a bit of beach vacationing at Playa Mar Chiquita and Playa Ocean Park. Get some cultural insight at Paseo de la Princesa and The Poet's Passage. Explore San Juan's surroundings by going to Estudio de Arte Samuel Lind (in Loiza), Zipline (in Rio Grande) and Caribbean Trading Company Store (in Palmer).
