Isla de Vieques

— 3 nights

Isla Nena

For sixty years until 2003, most of the Isla de Vieques was closed off to the public, with the US Navy using the island's beaches and surrounding waters for drills and testing of new military machinery, such as bombs.
You've now added Vieques Island to your itinerary. Visiting Playa La Chiva and Playa Pata Prieta will get you outdoors. Your itinerary includes some good beach time at Playa Navio and La Plata Beach. And it doesn't end there: take in the waterfront at Malecon, discover the deep blue sea with a scuba or snorkeling tour, and soothe aching muscles at some of the top local wellness centers.
