Located just 80 km (50 mi) north of San Francisco, Napa sits at the southern end of the scenic Napa Valley, one of the world's major wine regions.
Start off your visit on the 4th (Wed): do a tasting at Robert Mondavi Winery, do a tasting at Domaine Carneros, then appreciate the views at Artesa Vineyards & Winery, and finally look for gifts at Oxbow Public Market. On the 5th (Thu), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: find something for the whole family at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom.

Located less than an hour's drive north of San Francisco, Santa Rosa serves as a convenient hub for travelers on their way to the world-famous Napa Valley wine country.
Change things up with these side-trips from Santa Rosa: Calistoga (Castello di Amorosa & Old Faithful Geyser of California), Armstrong Redwood State Reserve (in Guerneville) and Pride Mountain Vineyards (in St. Helena).
