Dedicated to the catastrophic nuclear accident of 1986, Chernobyl National Museum showcases scientific, social, and educational points of view about the event. The accident affected over half a million people and its consequences are still felt in the present day. Spread across three showrooms totaling 1,100 sq m (11,840 sq ft), the museum holds 7,000 items including documents, installations, and visual media. Step inside dioramas for a visually engaging experience. You'll observe the progression of the accident and see its repercussions. You'll also have a chance to view the plant's equipment, photographs, and even artifacts from the disaster site. It's best to arrive here by public transportation, as parking spots are limited. Unfortunately, the lack of any information in English, which makes it very difficult to explore people who do not know Cyrillic. Instead, an audioguide in different languages is available at an additional charge.

The visit will not take too long. It's also worth going there because it's in the Kontraktova Square area, one of the nicest in Kiev
Fascinating place, highly recommend getting the audio tour device. The staff will set it to the language of your choice then you just key in the exhibit number and it will explain all about what is on display. A lot of personal belongings and protective wear, photographs etc on show. A moving and very interesting place to visit.
A must see attraction in Kiev. The museum is a joint work between Japan and Ukraine. You can have the audio support of your language but there is no support for Turkish. Go visit but try not to touch anything. You don't have to visit Chernobyl city. This museum will give you all you need.
