Home to the graves of soldiers, famous figures, nobles, and a host of ornate tombs, Lychakiv Cemetery stands as one of Ukraine's largest necropolises. Visit the massive cemetery, with more than 400,000 graves, and explore its 86 different plots spread out over 42 hectares (104 acres). You can join a guided tour in order to see a selection of the most notable graves and figures laid to rest here. Don't miss seeing the plot dedicated to the "Defenders of Lwow," an ornate memorial commemorating the efforts of Lviv's young Polish defenders during the Polish-Ukrainian War from 1918 to 1919. • Absolutely mandatory point of visit during your stay in Lviv. Entrance to the cemetery paid. Hi, where there are houses of Lviv Orlęt very well maintained and there is a raised atmosphere, conducive to the zadumie. He only beats the eyes and wonders the view of the pledged lions at the entrance. Easy access from the city center possibly by tram number 1 from the market to the cemetery gate itself. Tickets are best bought from the motor.

  • We arrived from Poland, so it was necessary to see the cemetery on Łyczakowie, where the young soldiers of Lviv Orlęta (the Defenders of Lviv) lie. The cemetery is large and well maintained

  • What a beautiful place to reflect and wonder. I came here on a late summer day and didn’t regret it a single time. The way to arrive there through the medicine faculties is actually also quite beautiful. Unmissable experience for Lviv!
  • A must visit in Lviv, you’ll find many historical figures buried here from the 20th century. This cemetery and national landmark will take you back through time and Lviv’s history during each period. A very interesting place.
