Take a 64 km (40 mi) ride aboard Skunk Train, among redwood forest and scenic meadows. You'll travel through tunnels and across 30 trestles. You can choose from among several different tour plans, some of them including excursions, picnics, and kayaking. The rides offer optional snacks and beverages, plus entertainment like musicians and storytellers, and you'll hear about the history and highlights of the region. It's highly recommended that you reserve your seats in advance to ensure availability. If you book a seat in the open air car, wear dark clothing because soot can fly and stain apparel. Plan your visit to Skunk Train and a wealth of other attractions, well-known and undiscovered, using our Fort Bragg trip itinerary app.

It was a nice comfortable ride. I guess I expected more scenic. Stop at Crowley was nice. Did get to see some redwoods. Conductor that was entertaining us was great. Has a wonderful spirit and enjoys what he does.
A friend and I recently got to enjoy the rail bikes that the Skunk Train started this past year. So much fun! What a neat way to experience nature. We would both highly recommend it, and we will definitely be back again!
