From north to south it comprises Roosevelt, Dunes, Venice, and Francis Beaches. I was in Redwood City on business for a week. Being from Phoenix (especially during the summer), I wanted to unwind at a quiet local beach. Half Moon Bay was the perfect spot to unwind from a long week. I went about an hour before sunset and practically had the beach to myself! It’s a state park, so there is a parking fee, but very well worth it. It’s much cooler there than inland, so if you’re headed out, take at least a light jacket.

Absolutely breathtaking views and vistas here. Parking isn't too hard to find, but this beach is very popular when the sun is out or weather is warm. Water is usually very cold year round. Magnificent views of the Pacific Ocean. Highly recommended and well worth the drive.
