China Beach, San Francisco

4.4
#27 of 70 in Parks in San Francisco
Beach · Nature / Park
Swim, kite surf, or simply relax at China Beach. The shallow water provides a safe place for kids and less experienced swimmers to safely enjoy themselves. Bring food to prepare on one of the outdoor grills and picnic tables. Kite surfing enthusiasts can take advantage of the wide shoreline and good winds here. More secluded than others in the area, this beach offers a quiet getaway from crowds. No kiosks or shops--but you get a great view of the Golden Gate Bridge on a clear day. • It's my favorite beach in SF as it's isolated and never crowded. Sunsets are really beautiful here, with views of the Golden Gate Bridge. You can also spot Dolphins closer to the beach during the right season.
  • Love this place. Super nice views of the golden gate bridge and the beach. Very nice compared to other places as far as crowds.. there are less people here
