Favorite park in the city. Large park that isn't insanely overcrowded like Dolores and much cleaner too. Benches and table seating throughout the park. They even have restrooms on site. Dogs do roam the area, but the owners are responsible - I haven't seen any random piles of poo lying around. I love that there is a dog park, it's where I can get my puppy fix. Yes, I am that weirdo who doesn't have a dog, but watches yours with a smile on my face. If you're not for dogs, the north eastern side of the park is more quiet and secluded and great for reading or meditation. The park also has a tennis court, kids playground, and large patches of grassy areas to lay out. Whether you're young or old, this park has everything to offer.

one of san francisco's top parks, literally on top of a hill near the nob, very well maintained with large playground and areas available for event reservation with the SF parks dept. it is two blocks from a whole foods where you can get food to bring back to the park and enjoy.

Awesome park with a nice AstroTurf dog area and brand new playground for children. Nice views of the city and well kept grass and landscaping. Fun scene on warm evenings.

This might just be our new favorite park in the city! Such a great place for all ages. ❤️

Neat playground with several age appropriate structures that are fenced off to protect children. Perhaps the nicest playground in the city. Parking can be a little challenging but the park is worth the effort.

Where to stay in San Francisco

From inexpensive hostels in quiet residential areas to high-end hotels near the city center, San Francisco has accommodations for every budget. Key consideration is what kind of neighborhood you want to stay in. You'll find luxury hotels in Union Square, which has prime shopping, is near theaters, and is on the cable car line. Many hotels are in the northeastern portion of the city, near the tourist-driven neighborhoods of Chinatown and Fisherman's Wharf, both easily explored on foot. To get away from the tourist crowds, consider the smaller inns and family-run bed and breakfasts in some of the city's more charming neighborhoods, such as Noe Valley or Pacific Heights. There are also boutique hotels scattered around town. Avoid staying in the Tenderloin. If you plan to have a car with you, ask about parking availability and fees. Parking is often difficult and expensive.
