Surf Travel & Friends, Puerto Escondido

I took a group lesson and private lessons at Surf Travel Friends, and while I have limited experience with other schools in the area, I would urge for anyone who doesn’t know the currents and waves of PE to surf with a teacher from Surf Travel Friends. The teachers were all very experienced, great listeners and very responsive. The waves in PE tend to get bigger April onwards than what is generally recommended for beginners which is why the extensive safety training was so on-point. Obviously it’s important to do your own research too and ask the right questions. From my own experience, being an experienced swimmer, I found ocean swimming to be a completely different ball game. The communication is also very professionally managed and the team is responsive. They even gave me great tips for the town in general.

I stayed here for 6 nights and 5 lessons. The rooms are so nice and the surf lessons are the best I’ve had (they really help you improve). The teachers and people are a great vibe, will be back again 👌👌
