Niamey — 4 nights

The capital and largest city of Niger, Niamey serves as an administrative, cultural, and economic center on the Niger River.
You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Koure Giraffe Reserve and Ferme Youyou. When in Niamey, make a side trip to see Koure Reserve in Koure, approximately Koure away. And it doesn't end there: explore the galleries of National Museum of Niger (Musee National du Niger), take in the spiritual surroundings of Mosquee Cite Caisse, and browse the eclectic array of goods at Grand Marche.

To see other places to visit, photos, where to stay, and other tourist information, you can read our Niamey holiday maker app.

Kyiv (Kiev), Ukraine to Niamey is an approximately 20-hour flight. Due to the time zone difference, you'll gain 1 hour traveling from Kyiv (Kiev) to Niamey. In June, Niamey is much warmer than Kyiv (Kiev) - with highs of 44°C and lows of 31°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 5th (Sun) so you can travel back home.

River of Song
Much of Niger consists of untouched landscapes, dotted here and there with old caravan towns and abandoned medieval settlements. The mountains of the north and the dunes of the center and south hold a captivating, enigmatic atmosphere, made even more memorable by the mud-brick architecture of the market towns developed over the centuries. Most visitors on vacation in Niger head to the southwest, where an abundance of protected areas rich in wildlife, some of the most scenic views of the Niger River, and the country's capital just beg to be explored.
