  • Hendy Woods State park is a pretty small park overall, but a wonderful place to visit! It's great to hike around a little and take in the incredible trees, and sit by the river for a while. Parking is fairly limited, which means that it's usually not too busy and that it's very quiet. Hendy Woods is really nice to visit in the morning or afternoon when the light is low and passing through the canopy above. All of the trails and facilities are very nicely maintained and there are a good number of accessible trails so everyone can enjoy the amazing views.
  • We love to vacation along the Mendocino coast and we always make a point to spend some time hiking at Hendy. The trails are well maintained and marked. It is always a thrill to walk among these magnificent trees.
